Sunmi

Sunmi recently provided clarification on her statement about her former agency JYP Entertainment while appearing on the KBS CoolFM program “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show”. Previously, the former Wonder Girls member discussed her current agency ABBYS Company with GOT7 member BamBam and was considered to have “badmouthed” her old agency JYP Entertainment.

Because this became a hot topic of conversation, Park Myung Soo then touched on this issue a little. “Recently, there was an article that said, ‘Sunmi targets JYP, having a big size doesn’t mean having a good system’. Are you dissatisfied with JYP?” Myung Soo asked and Sunmi quickly answered, “Not at all.”

Sunmi then defended herself by saying that she and BamBam did not mean to harm JYP Entertainment. Apart from that, the singer of the song “Gashina” also said that his relationship with Park Jin Young was very good and they were still close to each other.

“I really want to clarify this. I appeared on BamBam’s YouTube channel. We both worked under JYP, and we are currently in the same company. When we talked, BamBam said, ‘(The current company) is great. The system It’s already established, so I’m more comfortable working’. So, I answered ‘That’s right. Having a big size doesn’t mean having a good system’. If you ask me who my closest friends are, it’s PD Park Jin Young and Sohee. What am I targeting? I just said it as a joke,” said Sunmi.

Meanwhile Sunmi debuted in 2007 as a member of Wonder Girls and left the group in 2010 to continue her studies. After a three-year hiatus, Sunmi resumed her career as a soloist with her debut EP in 2013, “Full Moon” which produced the number two singles “24 Hours” and “Full Moon” on the national Gaon Digital Chart.
