Jihyo Twice

Jihyo recently shared her honest thoughts about the challenges and sacrifices faced during her eight-year career in the entertainment industry. During the fan meeting, the Twice leader celebrated his group’s 8th anniversary and revealed the demanding nature of his life as a K-pop star.

“I was very busy and couldn’t live like a human, even though it sounds extreme. But I don’t regret it at all at that time,” he said and this revelation was greeted with empathy and appreciation from fans who recognized the dedication and hard work Twice had put into their career .

Over the course of a year, Twice released at least 8 albums in Korea and Japan, even filming an MV for the following year. The group’s non-stop schedule includes a showcase tour, Asia Tour, and Arena Tour, making their journey even more challenging.

In the relentless pursuit of their dreams, many idols find themselves caught in a whirlwind of success, often having to sacrifice a “normal” life. In the fast-paced world of K-pop, where ambition and dedication are the keys to reaching the pinnacle of one’s career, it’s not uncommon to hear of idols keeping extremely busy schedules.

These sentiments, while extreme, demonstrate the immense sacrifice and dedication required to achieve greatness. Meanwhile, Jihyo released her debut mini album, “Zone” in August 2023, which debuted at number one on the Circle Album Chart with half a million copies sold in the first week. Its lead single, “Killin’ Me Good” charted in five countries.
