The list of Korean films which will be released in August looks promising. This is because the director and performers are known for their previous hits. Their comeback event next month will also be a tough competition.

In terms of the themes raised also varied. There are movies about space disasters, hostage rescue missions, and so on. Want to know more about which Korean films will be shown next month? Check out the list below

1. The Moon (2 August)

Sol Kyung Gu, Do Kyung Soo, and Kim Hee Ae will appear in the film The Moon. This film tells the story of an astronaut who is stranded on the moon during a mission. The astronaut is Hwang Sun Woo, played by Do Kyung Soo.

Kim Jae Kuk (Sol Kyung Gu), the center manager at the Aerospace Center then struggles to save Sun Woo. The key to this event is held by Mun Young (Kim Hee Ae) who serves as executive director of NASA’s space station. The fate of Sun Woo, who is trapped in space alone, will only be answered at the time of its release.

2. Unofficial Operation (2 August)

Unofficial Operation becomes a reunion between Ha Jung Woo, Ju Ji Hoon, and director Kim Sung Hoon. In this movie, Ha Jung Woo plays Min Sung and Ju Ji Hoon plays Pan Su. Min Sung is a young diplomat assigned to rescue Korean diplomats who are being held hostage in Beirut, Lebanon.

Min Sung will meet Pan Su who is a local taxi driver. Together they will pass through the streets of Beirut, which are chaotic because of the ongoing civil war. The hilarious action of the two of them will not be left behind in this film.

3. Concrete Utopia (9 August)

Concrete Utopia stars Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young, Kim Sun Young, Park Ji Hu, and Kim Do Yoon. They will depict the story of the survivors of the big earthquake. The disaster left the entire city of Seoul in ruins.

However, there is one apartment building that is still standing, namely the Hwang Goong Apartment. Young Tak (Lee Byung Hun) will act as the temporary leader of the apartment residents. He will lead them to defend the Hwang Goong Apartment from outsiders.

4. Honeysweet (August 15)

Yoo Hae Jin and Kim Hee Sun will unite in a romantic-comedy film titled Honeysweet. Yoo Hae Jin plays Chi Ho who is a genius researcher who works at a confectionery company. He has developed an addictive taste.

Chi Ho then meets Il Young (Kim Hee Sun) and encounters a new flavor in his life. Il Young is a call center employee at a loan review company. She is a person who always looks at the positive side of all kinds of situations.

5. A Man of Reason (August 15)

Jung Woo Sung’s debut film as a director entitled A Man of Reason will also be released next month. Jung Woo Sung also appeared as one of the actors. The character he plays is Soo Hyuk, a former prisoner.

He went to prison for 10 years to replace his boss in a criminal organization. After he was released, Soo Hyuk received news that he had a daughter with his ex-girlfriend and decided to leave the organization. The confrontation between him and the people in the organization became inevitable.
